Meet Autumn Lifesong

I mentioned when I started blogging again that I had made a life wizard named Autumn Lifesong.  Well, this is her.  So far I have gotten her to grandmaster gardener and grandmaster artisan.  Life Autumn is currently level 61 and still questing in the Grotto.

Some people have asked me how she is such a high level to be questing at the beginning of Celestia.  Well, the answer is pretty simple.  I did all the side quests and also completed the side worlds (Wysteria, Grizzleheim, and Wintertusk) as they became available.  I leveled from level 42 up to level 52 just in Wintertusk.

I know a lot of people don't like to complete the side quests, and I can understand that.  It does make questing take a lot longer.  But I also find that it makes questing in the higher worlds easier, especially Celestia.  Having my level 58 spell has made things in Celestia go quicker, so far.

Anyway, here are Autumn's stats.  They aren't too great yet, as she still has her level 58 gear.

And here is the pet I usually have equipped, my Forest Lord.

If anyone has any suggestions of which gear to use for better stats for life, they would be very much appreciated!  I am definitely going to craft the Cosmic Kris and Stellar Signet as soon as I have enough sunstone.  But other than that, not too sure which gear I should upgrade to.

Anyway, thats's all for today.  See you around the Spiral!  And as always, thanks for reading!

The Music Player

When Kingsisle added Zafaria, they also added some other cool new features to the game.  One of these is a new housing item.....The Music Player.  This item allows you to change the music in your house to one of the music themes from around the spiral. It can be purchased in the Wizard City Housing Shop (in the decorations section) for 1000 gold. I think that this item is pretty cool.  Here is how it works.

The music player works with music scrolls that you can purchase or find as drops from bosses around the spiral. You place the music player in your house and when you click on it, you get three options, like with the mannequins.

You can pick it up, move it, or click the music icon and get this screen.

This shows a list of the music scrolls you have in your backpack.  Select one and click the icon at the bottom of the screen to add the scroll to your music player. Then click the music icon at the top to see a list of music in your music player, like this.

There are two options at the bottom of this screen, one to equip the scroll you want to listen to, and one to remove a scroll from the player. One thing I did notice is that each music player/music scroll combination counts as two housing items.  For example, I have nine scrolls equipped to my player and it is counting as 18 items in my house.  I kind of hope KI changes that and makes each individual item count only once.

Anyway, here is a list of the scrolls available and where to find them.
  • Wizard City Main Theme - Wizard City Housing Shop (500gold)
  • Krokotopia Main Theme - Wizard City Housing Shop (500gold)
  • Krokotopia Theme 4 - Krokopatra (Temple of Storms)
  • Marleybone Main Theme - Meowiarty (Big Ben)
  • Mooshu Main Theme - Jade Oni (Jade Palace)
  • Dragonspyre Main Theme - Malistaire (The Great Spyre)
  • Celestia Main Theme - Mithraya (Trial of the Spheres)
  • Zafaria Main Theme - Tim-Tim Snake Eye (Black Palace)
  • Wysteria Main Theme - Lord Bramble (Tanglewood Way)
  • Grizzleheim Main Theme - The Ravens (Ravenscar)
  • Wintertusk Main Theme - Not sure on this one.  I dont have it yet, and don't know anyone who does.  Maybe the last bosses in Nastrond?  If anyone knows, comment and tell me and I will give you credit.
***EDIT***
  • HFjord Theme - Drops from the last bosses in Nastrond (Credit goes to Mindy WindWeaver. Thanks!)  This makes me wonder if there will be other scrolls for the other areas of Wintertusk as well.  That would be awesome!
  • Nastrond Main Theme - Drops from Frostbranch in Austrilund (Credit goes to Wolf Windrider. Thanks!)
***END EDIT***
Farming for the scrolls kept me busy for awhile.  I have all of them except Wintertusk and Zafaria.  I didn't find most of them to be too hard to get.  They seem to drop more frequently than some other items I have tried to farm for.  I think it would be awesome if Kingsisle added scrolls for different music too.  Maybe a scroll for holiday music or one for spooky noises for Halloween.  Maybe I will suggest that to them. :)

That's all for today.  I will try to update again later in the week.  Happy questing!  See you next time :)

    Hey Everyone!

    Hello fellow wizards!

It sure has been awhile since I have posted.  I didn't think I would be able to post anymore, but things change and I have decided to continue with blogging.  I won't be posting everyday like I was before, but I will try to post once or twice a week.  Also, I am not going to be having weekly contests, at least not right now.  I may decide to continue with them in the future though.

I do want to say thank you to everyone who continued following my blog, and a special thanks to the people who started following during my absence!  You guys are great!  :)

I haven't been up to too much.  I did create a new life wizard named Autumn Lifesong.  She is currently level 61 and just starting Celestia.  I will be posting about her adventures questing, as well as my adventures through Zafaria, which I have yet to begin.  I did quest through Zafaria on the test realm and I have to say, it is AWESOME!  And I absolutely love the new level 68 spells.

Other than that, I will be continuing to post guides for quests and dungeons/towers.  I may also be changing the layout on here, and adding some features to make the site more user friendly.  Hmm....What else?  I think that may be all for now.  So watch for more posts and the changes I just mentioned.  It is good to be back.  I really missed blogging.

    See you soon!

    Meet Autumn Winterbreeze!

I realized that I never actually introduced either of my 2 wizards.  And since this month I am working on my ice wizard, I figured I would introduce her first.  As you probably figured out already, her name is Autumn Winterbreeze. This is the third wizard I made (the second was a life one I no longer have).

I haven't done too much with this character, other than questing.  She is finished every world, except Celestia.  In Celestia she has progressed as far as the Science Center.  I have completed all of the crafting quests on this character and got the Grandmaster Artisan badge, but I haven't done PVP or Pet Derby yet.  And only a little bit of gardening.  As of this post, she is only a Neophyte Gardener (level 2).

Anyway, here is an overview of her stats.
As you can see, I really need to craft and farm for better gear.  That is going to be my goal when I am finished questing.

You also may have noticed that I have 8 training points left.  I haven't decided if I should save them for possible future spells or spend them on getting the life spells through Satyr.  This is what I have gotten for spells so far.

Death - All spells until feint and infection.
Balance - Elemental shields, elemental traps, and reshuffle.
Star - Fortify, amplify, and vengeance
Sun - Strong, giant, monstrous and gargantuan.

I do have a life mastery amulet that I switch between my 2 characters, I just havent decided if I should use my training points or keep buying treasure cards.  Any input on this is appreciated. :)

Other than that, I have 2 pets I switch between on this character, my starfish and my wyvern.  I am currently working on leveling my wyvern, and when that is done I may work on getting my starfish to epic as well.  Here are my pets' current stats.

Well that's all for today.  I may do a post like this in the future for my main character, Autumn Dreamwalker, as well.  Thanks for reading, and don't forget to enter my giveaway for 2 teleporters!  See you!

    And The Winner Is.......

Wow, I am SO sorry everyone.  I should have posted this a lot sooner, but to be honest I kinda forgot that it is Friday.  Anyway, the winner for the 3 Wyvern's Hoards has been chosen.  There were 26 people who commented and the random number generator chose......
    #6 TATIANA SHADOWFLAME!

Congratulations Tatiana!  I will contact you soon (like now) about your prize.  Thank you for reading everyone.  Look for the next giveaway on Monday morning.  See you soon!

    Happy 3rd Birthday Wizard101!

Today is Wizard101's birthday, as you may have noticed from all the decorations in Wizard City! The game has been around for 3 years today.

I have only been playing for a year, but I have seen how far the game has come since then.  I can't imagine what it was like when it first came out!  And I definitely cannot wait to see what updates and changes the next year brings to the spiral.

To celebrate, Kingsisle is giving every player a birthday present.  Redeem the code "3rdBday" by September 5th to receive your gift!

Happy Birthday Wizard101!  And keep up the great work Kingsisle!

    New Mounts and Houses!

Kingsisle released an awesome update today.  Included are 2 new mounts and 2 new houses.

The mounts are both pegasi. The black one is called the Nightflame Pegasus and the white one is called the Skyracer Pegasus.  Both are permanent mounts and sell for 12,500 crowns each.  I really like both of them, but I think I may get the Skyracer for my ice wizard eventually.

Then there are the houses.  These houses are very cool. Kingsisle did a great job on them. The first is the Sunken Palace.  It is very cool.  It reminds me of a house in the middle of The Grotto in Celestia. It costs 10,000 crowns or 100,000 gold.

The other house is the Wizard's Watchtower.  This is another awesome house with a whirlpool and even a dragon guarding a hoard of gold! It costs 7,500 crowns or 75,000 gold.

You can click on them in the crown shop and preview them to see the inside.  Great update Kingsisle! See you next time! :)

Question: Where Can You Get Celestian Shields?

Someone posted a question about where to find Celestian Shields.  These are housing items dropped from Curuin Charmtooth in District of the Stars.  If you are lucky enough, you may be able to find them in the bazaar as well.  Anyway, you can see more information in my blog post here.  I hope this helps! Thanks for reading!

    September W101 Goals

Hey fellow wizards!  Today is September 1st, which means it's almost time for autumn (not me, the season).  It's my favorite time of year, hence the wizarding name Autumn.

Anyway, I saw an idea on Diana Wildheart's blog, Guardian Theurgist's Journal, which I have decided to use, with her permission.  At the beginning of each month I am going to post some goals of things I want to accomplish in W101.  I figure this should keep me from getting bored and wondering what to do.

I have decided that during the month of September I am going to spend time working on my ice wizard, Autumn Winterbreeze.  These are the things I hope to have done by September 30th.
    1. Complete Celestia main and side quests.  I am currently in the Scienece Center, but I have some sides I have to go back and finish.
    2. Complete Wysteria main and side quests.
    3. Complete Tower of Helephant.
    4. Complete Warehouse.
    5. Complete Waterworks.
    6. Train Wyvern pet to epic.
    7. Start gardening and work towards grandmaster gardener.
I figure these things will keep me pretty busy, but I have a couple other things I would like to do, if I have time.
    1. Farm for level 60 gear in Waterworks.
    2. Work on getting badges.
    3. Craft furniture for my Celestial Observatory.
So as you can see, I should be spending most of my time on my ice character.  If you don't have me added on there, you may not see me too much.  If you do have me added and hear me say I am bored, just send me a link to this post :P  See you next time and have fun!

    The Wysteria Wallflowers

Prospector Zeke is back in Wysteria with a new quest.  He wants us to find the Wallflowers.  This is a smaller Zeke quest, with only four to find.  Here are their locations.

Pigswick Academy - Start near Zeke and head up the street past Tanglewood Way and the Wallflower is on the left.

Library Archives - I couldn't get a map for this one, but this is where it is.  Go into the Archives and head straight through the first room and down the ramp.  The Wallflower is in the second room practically straight ahead.

Pegasus Place - Go through the area with the pegagsus stables and through the room where the goblin portal is.  Exit that room and go to the right.  Before you get to the Crystal Tower, there is a nook in the wall, off to the right.  The Wallflower is in there.

Tanglewood Way - The Wallflower is located directly across the street from Lord Bramble's Tower.

    Good luck and happy questing!

    Finishing My Celestial Observatory

Hey everyone!  Sorry for the lack of posting lately, but I haven't really been up to much.  Mostly I have just been farming for reagents so I could finish crafting the Celestial Observatory.  And as interesting as farming is, I didn't think you would want to read about it.  Okay, who am I kidding?  Farming isn't interesting at all.

Anyway, I finally got all the reagents yesterday.  I stuck to my goal of not buying anything.....until I got down to the last 12 sunstone.  I caved in and bought those.  I couldn't take anymore running around Dragonspyre Academy for stone block and I thought Thunderfin could use a break from being killed over and over.  But everything else I farmed for.

Here are some pictures of the things I needed to craft.
4 Celestian Sconces and 2 Celestian Shields (not crafted)
3 Celestian Tree Sprigs, 7 Crystal Streetlamps and 8 Star Chalices
Once all the components are crafted, the actual house is crafted using the Grizzleheim crafting station.  So I headed off to Grizzleheim.
This is where the Grizzleheim crafting station is located.
This is what the outside looks like.
And a view of the inside.
And after over a month, I was finally done! Here it is added to my backpack.

Here I am at my Celestial Observatory.  I will post a tour of it once I have it all decorated.
Me outside my new Celestial Observatory
Having completed this house, I have to say it is harder to craft than Watchtower Hall was.  I never want to see sunstone again! Unfortunately, my next crafting project (teleporters) uses sunstone. UGH!

So other than finishing this project, I have been working on a couple big projects for the blog.  Look for those coming up hopefully in the next couple of weeks.  And don't forget to enter my Wyvern's Hoard giveaway in the post below.  There is also a link to it in the sidebar.  See you later!  Happy questing!

    My Judgement Pet

I got my judgement pet a few weeks ago.  I finally got some mega snacks and trained her.....all the way to epic. Wow, training pets takes a long time! But using mega snacks definitely makes it a little easier.  I have only ever trained one other pet to epic before (on the live realm), so this was an accomplishment for me.  Anyway, here are her talents.

Pip o'plenty, add balance (6%), unbalancer (8%), and may cast weakness.  Not too bad, but I wish she had gotten spritely instead of pip o'plenty. She also gives the Mighty Judgement card, which does 440 damage and dispels 2 spells.  Here she is casting one of her spells.

Next I think I will train my Wyvern on my ice character, so watch for that post coming up, probably next month.  And speaking of Wyverns, don't forget to enter my Wyvern's Hoard Giveaway.  It ends tomorrow.  The post can be found here.  Thanks for reading! See you next time!

    Celestial Observatory Update

Before I went on vacation, I was spending almost all my time on W101 farming for reagents so I can craftt the Celestial Observatory.  I have almost everything I need to complete it.  These are the reagents/items I had to farm for.
    • Acorns 80/80
    • Aether 24/24
    • Black Pearls 28/28
    • Celestian Shields 2/2
    • Diamonds 21/21
    • Fire Blossom 76/80
    • Fish Fins 103/103
    • Golden Pearls 23/23
    • Pearls 118/118
    • Sandstone 15/15
    • Sunstone 26/52
As you can see, I only need 4 more fire blossoms and I still need half of the sunstone.  The sunstone is by far the hardest part of crafting this.  You may be wondering how I got the reagents so quickly.  Well to be honest, I had a lot of them already.  I had probably half the pearls and fire blossoms, and almost all the diamonds, fish fins, and acorns.

I also planted Maelstrom Snapdragons, Fickle Pickle, Evil Magma Peas and King Parsley.  I got a TON of reagents from them, including probably 6-8 sunstone.  I thought I took pictures of my garden before I went on vacation, but I can't find them.  Anyway, all of those plants already reached elder, so I planted more Maelstrom Snapdragons, King Parsley and a couple more Magma Peas.  These seemed to give me the most reagents, including sunstone and fire blossoms.

I did find that the easiest way to get sunstone, and sandstone to transmute into sunstone, is to farm Thunderfin in Stormriven. He is one of the pillar bosses, a storm boss with 9,740 health.  To fight him, activate the last pillar, to the right of the ramp/bridge thingy.

Thunderfin likes you to use small spells, meaning spells that are 3 pips or less. If you use anything bigger, he uses Nova on you.  So I found the quickest way for me to kill him is to hit him with a couple small spells to get his health down a little, and then boost like crazy and hit him with judgement.  This works well and it only take 5 minutes or less per battle.  Here are some pictures from me farming him.

Since I have most of the reagents, I have started crafting some of the items needed to craft the Observatory.  Here is my progress so far.
    • Unstoppable 5/5
    • Perfect Onyx 5/5
    • Pristine Vial 3/3
    • Crystal Streetlamp 0/7
    • Celestian Shield 2/2
    • Celestian Sconce 3/4
    • Star Chalice 0/8
    • Celestail Tree Sprig 3/3
So my goal it so have all of the reagents by the end of the month.  The crafting shouldn't be too bad once I have everything.  It's just the waiting for the slots to cool down at that point.  Wow, I just realized how long this post is, so I will end it here.

Thanks for reading!  See you around the spiral!
