Sabertooths and Spinysaurs

Good morning Wizards!

Wow, it has been awhile since I have said that!  As busy as I have been with real life and Pirate101, I have made some time to start questing through Azteca on my balance and life wizards.  It has been a lot of fun, especially since I am also questing with Edward Lifegem's fire wizard as well.

On Thursday all three of us finally made it to level 88. Actually, Edward reached level 88 before me, but he waited to get his spell until I reached 88 too.  So we headed out to get our spells.  Wow, these battles were tough!  I think Kingsisle must have noticed everyone saying how easy the level 68 spell quest was and made up for it with this quest.  It took Edward a few tries to get his spell, Sun Serpent, but he got it before I got either of mine.  Click the link to read his post!

I decided to try to get the spell on my life wizard first.  Well.....that didn't go too well.  I gave up after dying about 5 times. :P  Part of this issue is that I use my life wizard strictly as a support wizard.  I never use her as offense, only defense.  So it took me awhile to get used to that. Then I finally had the minions dead and the boss down around 3500 health and I ran out of mana.  Soooo, I decided to move onto my balance.

This battle was a lot easier for me, even though the boss was also balance.  It only took me one try!  A few Ra's, Hydra's and Chimera's later, and I was ready to get my new spell!  Here are a few pictures:

Anyway, that brings us to yesterday morning.  I decided to spend 400 crowns on a storm henchman to help me out.  My plan was to fight the battle like I was used to doing.   And it worked!  I focused on keeping the henchman and myself protected and healed up while he did most of the attacking.  It took about 1/2 an hour, but the boss and minions were finally defeated!  And I got my Spinysaur spell! :)

So that was exciting!  It's kind of funny. I didn't even really know what the new spells were called until I started on the spell quests.  I need to start paying a little more attention to Wizard101 I guess!  I had fun though! And Ed and I are about 3/4 of the way through Azteca!  I promise to make an update about that when we finish!  See you soon!

The New Content is Live!

Ahoy again!

Lots of posts today!  Yesterday Pirate101 announced that the new content would be added to the live realm! And guess what!  They were telling the truth! When I woke up this morning, everything was up and running and ready for me to log on. So that's exactly what I did (of course) :)

When the test realm was announced, Kingsisle had said there would be some surprises in the crowns shop when it was released live.  So of course that was one of the first things I checked out.  There are 2 new mounts, 2 new pets and lots of gear!  Here are some images:

Definitely be sure to check out the crown shop in game, because this is only a few of the new items being offered!  And speaking of shopping, the new bazaar was also added! I sold a few things, but a lot of the items in my backpack were actually "No Auction."  Oh well.  I did check out the ship parts section though, looking to upgrade my ship.

After that, it was off to get my first quest.  I went up to Avery's office and......

He has something to tell me! I love secrets! :D

So I am off to talk to Catbeard!  This should be an interesting time :)  And when i was on my way to the docks, I spotted one of the new Transportalators!  Here is what they look like:

As you can see, for me this feature costs gold, since I am a member.  I believe it costs crowns if you aren't a member.  Still, it's a really cool, extremely useful feature!

I will continue with my quest to find Catbeard later.  And just so you know, I will be putting my Privateer posts on hiatus while I am questing through the new worlds on my Witchdoctor.  However. my "Autumn and Chloe" posts will still continue when we have time to quest together.

Marco! Pollo!

Ahoy Mateys!

Earlier this afternoon was the Marco Pollo contest and event!  I had a great time! If you want to see more about what it was, click here.

Edward Cringle and I (Autumn Walker) were roaming around Skull Island for about half an hour before we were both found. Edward decided to stay in the Free to Play areas, to make it fair for everyone.  However, I was in all the different skyways at some point.

Anyway, congrats to Brave Sam Laveer, who found Edward and Stubborn Duncan Freeman, who found me.  Here are a couple pictures:

Edward was found in the cave on Skull Island/Skull Mountain and I was found in...uh.....one of the skyways.  I think it was Flotsam Skyway, but not positive.  I was just sailing around, not really paying attention.

Anyway, congrats to both winners and thanks to everyone who participated.  I really thought this was a lot of fun! I hope you all did too!  Watch for more events and contests to be announced in the future!  Thanks for reading and have a piratey good time! :)

Duck Hunt

G'Mornin' Mateys!

When I left off before, I had just had Smitty make up some silver bullets.  Now it was time to go on my own little Duck Hunt and save Tonka.  Apparently Free Ranger is going to come with me!

On our way to Boot Hill, we had to defeat a bunch of Darkmoor Ships.  This wasn't too much of an issue.  Blowing up ships is always a great time! :P

So we got there and apparently the Duck of Death thought he could defeat me? YEAH RIGHT! Like that would ever happen? I defeated him....Twice! Take that Duck of Death! I got a couple decent pictures, but for some reason, some of them didn't come out well.  Anyway, here are the ones I did get.

So yeah, like I said, we did it, no problem!  And Tonka was there, so I was able to rescue him!

However, Tonka had some information about how The Duck wanted to summon El Toro's ghost.  So now I have a new mission........Off we go to Don Raphael's grave.  But more about that next time.
