Autumn & Chloe Part 11: This Is So Cool!

G'Mornin' Me Hearties!

Over the weekend Chloe and I finally had a little time to quest together on Pirate101 again!  The last time, we had just defeated Gortez and it was time to go back to talk to the Governor of Puerto Mico......Who apparently couldn't be bothered to help us out and told us to bring him to Monquista City. Well at least we both got to level 12! :)

To get through the stormgate, we needed to get a windstone from some Marleybone ships.  Luckily we only had to fight 2 before we both collected, and both fights went pretty smoothly!

Then it was off to the stormgate to Monquista......but first we had to fight off some jellyfish, since one of us got caught :P   I love watching both of my kids' reactions when they get to see a new stormgate or world for the first time! Chloe's reaction? "Oh my gosh! This is SO cool!"  Yes, Chloe, it really is! :)

And once we got to Monquista, she was like "No, seriously Mom! This is COOL!"  And I definitely have to agree with her! :)  Even though this is my 5th time through, it really is still cool.

So we docked at Monquista City and went in to talk to the little snobs.....um....I mean.....the Monquistan Royalty.  Our next stop is Zenda, where they told us to bring Gortez.

We stopped questing here for now, because Chloe wanted to go play outside in the freshly fallen foot of snow we got.  I am all for outside time, so y'all will have to wait a little to find out what happens next!  If you are curious about our previous adventures, you can read about them all here: Autumn & Chloe posts.

Autumn & Chloe Part 10: Jester Suits and Parasites

Ahoy!

I know it has been awhile, and I apologize for that.  To be honest, I have been pretty busy in real life, and on the days I haven't been too busy, I have had writer's block.  I would sit down, click on Blogger, and then........nothing.  I didn't want to publish posts that were written half-hearted, or that didn't make sense.  But anyway, the writer's block has left the building! So I am back, this time with another post about Autumn and Chloe!

The last time I posted about these characters, we had just defeated Chumba Wumba, and went to give Avery the chalice that he wanted.  Well, when we went to talk to him, he had a new quest for us.  He wanted to form a treaty, and the chalice was actually a gift for the governor of Puerto Mico!  Of course, who better to deliver the chalice than yours truly (I'm beginning to think Avery is just lazy.) :P

When we got there, we met the governor who was....how do I put this nicely......Rude! lol  And once again, we had to prove ourselves by saving this section of the spiral, this time from watermoles and troggies!

So after lots of embarrassment (Seriously, have you seen the outfit we meet the governor in?), brain eating parasites (just don't drink the water) and GIANT spiders (EEEWWWWW), we battled our way through the Gold Mine area all the way to Gortez, who is the GOLDEN MONKEY!  Here are some pictures from our battle with Armada guys and Gortez. Chloe and I are VERY close to making it to Monquista! We're both excited to get into a new world.  I hope to have a new Autumn and Chloe post before Christmas, and then every week starting after Christmas.  However, I do have some other ideas for posts that I will be making, so be sure to watch for those!  Thanks for reading! Autumn & Chloe Part 9: Watermoles and Volcanoes

G'Mornin' Me Hearties!

Last time Chloe and I quested we were getting ready to head to Volcano to try and find Ratbeard and the treasure.  When we got there we had to clear the way of watermoles.

And a couple fights later, we were ready to go into the volcano.  Sounds.......safe? Right?  We had to fight fish, more watermoles, and finally Chumba Wumba!

So we defeated Chumba Wumba and he....um.....jumped INTO the volcano.  Well, no one ever said he was the brightest star in the sky.  Anyway, Chloe and I both recruited Ratbeard to join our crews. And then we went to bring the chalice to Avery.  He had another mission for us, but you will have to wait till next time to hear about that.  Have fun, stay safe and see ya soon! :)

A Family Affair

Ahoy Mateys!

My daughter is finally able to start questing again, which means the Autumn and Chloe posts will be starting up again! :)  But before I post about that I would like to introduce you to 2 new characters.  That's right....I said 2!  Only one of them is mine though.  The other belongs to my son. So now both of my kids are pirates! Yay! :D

This is Bloody Aedan Walker and Bloody Autumn Walker.  He chose the names, because he wanted us to match. lol  Anyway, they are both swashbucklers and we managed to quest through the jade amulet story line yesterday and got to level 4!  I won't be posting about all my adventures with Aedan, since I have a feeling we may be questing more quickly than I do with Chloe.  But I will be posting sometimes, and I have created a new label for those posts called "The A Team."

Anyway, after I finished questing with Aedan, Chloe wanted to quest too.  We had left off at the Ruined Lighthouse, trying to find an old grave.  We wondered around, looking at various tombstones, until we finally had to defeat Old Scratch and his crew.  It went well though and we got our Old Scratch companions after!

After that, it was off to Bounty Island, where we had to decipher Captain Gunn's notes to get to his treasure.....but it was gone!  After a battle with some crabs, we found out that Ratbeard and the watermoles stole the treasure and headed to the volcano!

Next time you see an Autumn and Chloe post, we should be tackling the Volcano!  I love that fight and I can't wait to post about it.  And we'll get another companion too! Thanks for reading and see you next time! Have fun in the spiral! :)

The Adventures of Autumn & Chloe Part 7: One Tricky Rabbit!

Ahoy!

Things have been busy busy busy around here lately, and with Chloe no longer on spring break we didn't have much time for mother daughter questing.  Well, not until last night anyway.  We managed to log on for about half an hour and made a little progress through the story.

When we left off before, The Frogfather had sent us off to find One-Eyed Jack.  But before that, we had to make a stop to get our new ships!

Then it was time to head to Flotsam to track down this One-Eyed Jack dude.  When we got to The Black Spot we talked to Barkeep Flopsy who sent us off to find Mustang Sally.

Chloe saw him and said, "Aww, it's a bunny! I mean.....Arrr, it's a pirate bunny!"
lol, she has a soft spot for bunnies :P

When we tracked Sally down, of course it led to a fight......Which we managed with no trouble at all! :)

Sally told us to talk to Salty Ned, who let us in on a little secret.  Barkeep Flopsy is One-Eyed Jack!  What a sneaky, tricky little rabbit!

So it was back to The Black Spot to let One-Eyed Jack know that we're in on the secret.

The Adventures of Autumn & Chloe Part 6: The Presidio

Ahoy!

When I left off last time, Chloe and I had just reached the Frogfather. He had some information on Ratbeard, but first we had to help him out.  The Monquistans had some exotic spices in The Presidio, and now it was time for me to go get them.

Chloe and I met up with a friend, Golden Jack and the 3 of us made it through without much trouble.  Here are some pictures of our battles.

After that, it was time to go back to the Frogfather, who told me he knew my parents.  Weird, I didn't know my parents liked frogs :P

Yes, we found out that frogs can be tricky. See, Frogfather couldn't tell us where Ratbeard is hiding because he promised.  However, he passed off his favor from a rabbit called One Eyed Jack.  So we are off to find him.  Hmm.....I think I may have heard that name before. It sounds kind of familiar :)

The Adventures of Autumn and Chloe Part 5: How to Save a Pelican

Ahoy!

When I left off the last time, Chloe and I were on our way to the Skull Island sewers to save Norville who is.....A Pelican!  This was a hard battle at first.....because....um....well....I realized we hadn't upgraded our companions at all. Silly me!  So after we died, we upgraded them and then it was back into the sewers. This time went much better! Here are some pictures from our successful battle.

Anyway, we followed Norville back to Captain Ahab, who told us that the Frogfather lives in the Gullet....which is exactly what is sounds like. Geez! First the sewers, and now this?  What a grand old time! :P

When we got to The Gullet we had to fight some guys to get the password.....which ended up being Ribbit.....How original lol.  Anyway, the fight went well. We defeated them with no problem. Then it was off to meet The Frogfather!

Chloe's New Pets

Ahoy Me Hearties!

Chloe started asking for a Pirate101 pet since...um...about an hour after she started playing.  Since I was making a guide about How to Get a White-Tailed Jackalope, I decided I would let her try out my guide to make sure all the information was correct.  This led to about an hour of sailing around Cool Ranch and her porting to me in the various areas.  But at the end of that hour, look at what she got!

So she was pretty happy to have this "adorable" new pet.....for about a day.  The next day she started asking for the Coral Widow that is in the Crown Shop.  Luckily that particular pet can be bought for 9,375 gold.  For once I was happy about my daughter's love of spiders :P  Unfortunately, Chloe only had about 400 gold, so we decided to take another break from questing and I brought her to farm Friar Sand on my Witchdoctor.

After battling Friar Sand 3 times, Chloe had more than enough gold to by her spider.  She was extremely happy....mostly because I think it's creeptacular :P  Anyway, here she is with it.

So that was a fun little detour! Chloe loved seeing some of the other worlds she will be able to visit in the future.  She especially thought the stormgate areas in between worlds are really beautiful.  Next time I will have an update on our progress with questing. Thanks for reading! :)

The Adventures of Autumn & Chloe Part 4: NXP Time!

Ahoy!

The last time I posted, Chloe and I were getting ready to head to Jonah Town.  When we got there, we had to head out and complete a solo fight against some storm sharks.  Chloe did great! But unfortunately I have no pictures from her battle.  I managed to make it out of my battle alive too. Here are a few pictures of me.

After that, we ended up getting a quest to fight some ships!  This was Chloe's second time ship battling. She is still catching on, but she did much better. And even though we were ganged up on at one point, neither of us died!
